"Luminous Realms" at Hangar Bicocca is an exploration of light and perception. All of the artists chosen are contemporary and work with forms, shapes, vibrant colors, and light being the primary element. Renowned artists like Olafur Eliasson, Yayoi Kusama, and James Turrell guide visitors through immersive installations that evoke a range of emotions by using your senses.

The exhibition space at Hangar Bicocca will be fully dark and displayed on top of a pool of water covering the entire space. Artworks will be placed inside of built-in cubes, or lit up glass platforms. Glass platforms with LED lights will guide you throughout the immersive pathway.

Different artists display their form of light in color in various mediums. Eliasson's "Cantus Arcticus" shows the ethereal glow of the Northern Lights, while Kusama's "Pumpkin Room" creates a playful infinity with its polka-dotted spheres. TeamLab's "Balloon Room" offers a weightless dreamscape with glowing orbs.
